GRIP

The robots will go to work on a 4 X 8 foot field. Your teams robot will be asked to deliver balls, navigate a simple maze and find the correct color cans. Team work, planning and focus will be the traits of the winning team. Good luck

We will have a two part Mindstorm build-off starting with this meeting and ending with the team competition at the December 2nd meeting. The November meeting will begin with the designing and building of the robots. Within each team there will be two levels, beginner and advanced. Each team member will be assigned to a particular level based on previous experience with the Mindstorm kits. There will be something for everyone regardless if someone hasn’t had any experience with the kits. This is a great opportunity to build teamwork, sharpen your skills, and experience with preparing for a competition.

The student board members of GRIP presented a thank-you gift to Piedmont Technical College for their support over the past year. PTC has enabled GRIP to have monthly meetings and other activities to reach out to the Greenwood community.
Also in the last meeting we continued Lego Mindstorm training and getting ready for November’s GRIP build-off.
